Look to the right and see the cute little magnet that will we will be giving out at MY FRIENDS AND I. We have been doing a different one to announce our Open House for years. It will stay displayed here on the blog till after the event, so you can always be reminded of the date.
You won't want to miss this event so come in and get a magnet for your frig and be sure to save the date on your calendars.

Brand new merchandise just in today

Darling little ironing board and Iron, and the children's tea set (looks like Fiesta tableware).

Oak side board. It's not too big, just right for our smaller dining rooms. Also would be great in an entry or just about any other room in your house.

I did some re-arrangeing in the store over the last few days. I get started and things get tore up for a day or two, but finially come together. Thought you'd like to see a few pictures.

We call these photo's instant ancestors. Even if you don't know who they are it's fun to think about who they were and what their lifes were like. I can't resist them. I hate to think of any old photo's ending up in the trash, and sadly so many of them do. We have several in the shop right now, why not come in and pick one out and give them a spot in your home. Somewhere you can see them so you can sit and wonder about them as I do.

July has been a busy month at MY FRIENDS AND I, and we are looking forward to August and the fall season. It's a tradition that we put Fall and Halloween out just before the Antique Faire on August 31. Some of you have called asking if we are doing it again this year. YES we are.

Childrens Hospital Fund Raiser

MY FRIENDS AND I are selling raffle tickets to benefit Children's Hospital of Oakland. The drawing will be on Sept. 1st. You can view the prizes in the window of Tyme For Tea here in Niles. There are some really great prizes and they are numbered so you can choose which items you'd like to win. The tickets are only $1.00 each and it's a great cause. Tyme for Tea is also having a special tea and part of the proceeds from that will go to Children's Hospital. The date for that is Aug. 10th. for info on the tea call Tyme for Tea at 790-0944.

Aprons and egg cups are real collectable right now. We have some cute ones in the store.
I just took pictures of these cute aprons and one of our customers came up wearing it, she "had to have it". Doesn't she look darling.
