Here's the low down on these collectible cards. As you can see we have a bowl full of them.
In the 1910s, Gallaher Ltd of Belfast & London and Ogden's Branch of the Imperial Tobacco Co
printed "How - To" series, with clever hints for both everyday and emergency situations. From steaming out a splinter to stopping a mad dog, these cigarette cards told you the smart way to handle many of life's problems. They used them to stiffen cigarette packaging and to advertise cigarette brands. Some of them are quite attractive.

We have bags of old postage stamps in the shop right now.
I went on Pinterest and saw some fun crafty things to do with them.
I especially like the little flower pots covered with them.
I bet you could do that on cans and it would be just as cute.
These all look like easy crafts that anyone could do even kids.
Bookmarks, boxes, hearts, the fun is endless.

What's the story about these cute glasses from the 30's, 40's and 50's?
The Kraft Food Co. began to market cheese spread in these cute
reusable decorated glasses in 1933. They made them up to
1958. They called them Swankyswigs.
Super popular little collector item. Just the right size for juice.
We have some of these happy little glasses in the shop right now.
They are so popular that someone even made a collector book
featuring them. I saw this on Amazon
Who would have thought there were that many designs to
make a book about them.
Found this old ad for cheese spreads
Don't you wish companies would do fun
usable giveaways again?

Todays post is about Niles.
We sold out of our first order of Mugs and just got in more. They are super cute and not some little mug for a sip of coffee. Nope they hold a lot. Mother's Day is coming why not treat Mom to one and some of her favorite coffee or tea.
Second picture is what I saw on my walk around Niles.
So beautiful! Flowers every where and I didn't even have to leave the sidewalk.
Come experience Niles for your self. Spend a whole day in Niles. Do a little walk on the back streets, shop My Friends and I and have a lunch in town.
