Camera Straps

My daughter who lives in IL. makes these camera straps.

We don't carry them in the shop (yet) but she sales them at the site below. Go check them out. They make wonderful gifts for any one who has a camera. I have to brag on her and promote her talents "after all" she is my daughter! LOL
Check it out, I think you'll see why I'm so proud.

Wildflower Art and Garden show

The 15th annual Niles Main Street Wildflower, Art and Garden show is May 18th. We have at least 12 gardens on tour this year and the tickets are only $12.oo if your pre-buy and $15.00 the day of.
Free events that day includes a Art Walk, Sidwalk Vendors along Niles Blvd. and plant vendors selling beautiful plants and flowers.
How'd you like to win one of these really cute little boxes with a silk Gerber on top? I only have 12 so the first 12 who come in and pre-buy their tickets and say "they saw it on the blog" will get one.
Why not buy tickets and give them to Mom on Mother's Day, and plan on going with her. Nice way to spend the day together.

This is the cutest!

We just got these Campbell Kids books in the shop. Pictured is the front and the back of the book. Inside are the cutest pictures you have ever seen. The the middle picture is of one of the pages. Note that he's dressed as Charlie Chaplin. You can just make it out.
I'm sorry my photo's are so bad, I wish I knew more about taking good pictures!
If you think you'd like one of these books, hurry in, we only have 3 left!

Recipe site

I was fooling around on the computer last night and found this site for Vintage recipes. http://www.vintagerecipes.net/ There are some baked apple recipes that remind me of the ones my mother used to make. I'm definially going to make some. Isn't the internet a wonder? I'm always amazed how much you can find and how entertaining surfing the web can be. Some nights I'd rather do that, than watch TV.

Antique show goodies

The show here in Mohomet, IL. was very small in comparison to what we are used to in CA. But it was fun and as usual I found some cute things to bring in to the shop when I get home.

A little shopping

We got a chance to run off to a small town called Covington today. It's actually in Indiana, about an hour from where my daughter lives in Illinois. Really a cute town with about 6 antique stores. I found a few things that will be in the shop when I get back. All that little metal doll house furniture is so cute, and so are the little dolls. Those of you who shop in MY FRIENDS AND I often, know that "smalls" are my favorite things to buy. Hope to find some more fun stuff tomorrow when we go to the Antique Show in here town.
