Have you gotten your copy of the Niles Heritage Cookbook yet? They are available for $13.00 at My Friends and I. All the proceeds from the sale of the cookbook goes to the Niles Main Street Assoc. for promoting and beautifing Niles. (The planters along Niles Blvd. were purchased with the last cookbook sales) Here is a recipe from the cookbook for you to try.
Best Lemonade Ever
1 3/4 c. white sugar
8 c. water
1 1/2 c lemon juice

In small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refigerate until chilled. Remove seeds from the lemon juice, but leave pulp. In pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups of water.
Speaking of recipes, check out the neat vintage recipe boxes and cookbooks now available at My Friends and I. Don't forget they make great gifts for any one who loves to cook.
